Do you apply similar strategies with your Substack content? Would love to learn how you determine what's free vs. paid!

She’s currently using Substack’s Paid Archives model: all posts are free for the first 2 weeks after publishing, then they’re only for paid subscribers!

Could not agree more on updating the free tier with innovative solutions. I wonder if limited use of premium features on a free tier could not be a good strategy for some for highly coveted features to increase conversion to paid: for example, Descript, the video editing / recording app, has a few highly coveted AI features (such as AI voice or eye focus) that are only available on paid tiers. I wonder if allowing limited use of those features on free tiers would not be a good strategy for them: like one time per month or one project per month etc. I think experiencing them on a limited basis could increase conversion.
